St. Crispin’s Pre-School Celebrates 30 Years
In November we have been open for 30 years! We are in the process of planning this great event!
We strive to provide our children and their parents/care providers with the most positive experience(s), both within and out of the setting. Here are a few activities that we have participated in within the past year: The Look Out Discovery Centre We had an outing to the Look Out Discovery Centre to explore the science hands-on exhibits, followed by a play in the park.
Christmas Party& Nativity Play A festive celebration, with a special visit by Father Christmas who brought each child a gift for being so special and dear.
Library Trip A visit to the Wokingham Library to meet with a librarian who discussed with the children what a library is, followed by a special story time and a discovery walk through the town centre back to school.
Sponsored Bike/Scooter Race The children were sponsored to ride their bike/scooter within the grounds of St Crispin’s Sports Centre. Children received a certificate for participating that displayed how many laps were completed.
My First Poem Competition Recently published!
A collection of poems by our very own St. Crispin’s Pre-School children.
Soft Play & Bouncy Castle On occasion, and loved by the children, the bouncy castle and soft play toys are borrowed from the leisure centre for our use.
Nature Walks Exploration and discovery into Wokingham’s lovely parks and trails, and into the town centre.
Reading To reinforce the curriculum related to transportation, staff and parents took the children to Reading on the train.
Sunflower Growing Each spring all our children help sow sunflower seeds and they take them home to grow them in their own gardens. Later our children will bring in great pictures of their own flowers measuring them against their own height. Fundraising Activities
