Welcome to
It is the policy of the Pre-school that, as far as practical, a parent of each child on the register should help out at Pre-school at least once every half-term. This has the dual benefit of enhancing the learning environment for our children and reducing the pre-school fees.

The parent's rota operates to assist the staff during a session and it includes completing tasks which staff can't do as they are required to be in the room at all times to ensure the minimum ratio. These tasks may include cleaning paintbrushes and doing a small amount of washing up.

Having a rota provides a fair system that gives all parents, carers or other representatives the chance to help in Pre-school sessions.

Furthermore, parents also make play dough for the Pre-school, which due to hygiene requirements is needed every week (see the play dough recipe). The use of play dough is a much-enjoyed activity and it provides several learning and development opportunities.
